June, 10th 2021 : 7th Rally Megeve-Saint-Tropez: 3RD Stage Annecy – Serre Chevalier – Saint-Tropez
From Serre Chevalier, departure of the last stage, still under a fixed beautiful sun, we climbed the Col d’Izoard to reach Guillestre and begin the ascent of the Col de Vars which was the scene of the ultimate test of the rally . We then had to do battle one last time to make sure we did well in the general classification of the event.
Barcelonnette will also be the entrance to the Mercantour National Park which will welcome us again as we pass through the sublime and very steep Col de la Cayolle. Once out of the Park, the competitors were able to enjoy a picnic organized by the roadside and offering Petrossian products for tasting.
However, the day was not over with the Daluis gorges and its innumerable tunnels cut into the ocher rock before crossing the small passes of the Var hinterland leading to Castellane, along the Verdon, towards the Castillon lake and its amazing azure blue.
The competitors then went through the military camp of Canjuers before the traditional triumphant arrival at the Port of Saint-Tropez and the stop on the Place des Lices among the boules players to celebrate the big winners of this 7th edition before the prize-giving evening. in Ramatuelle!
