2019 – STAGE 3 / 13 JUNE : SERRE CHEVALIER – SAINT-TROPEZ

STEP 3 – Thursday, June 13, 2019: SERRE CHEVALIER – SAINT TROPEZ

Third and final stage of Megève-St-Tropez presented a classic course starting from Serre-Chevalier. Difficult to modify a course that offers so many pieces of anthology, both composed of tracks of the Tour de France and Rally Monte Carlo.
Turns and laces by tens, breathtaking views during this descent to the Mediterranean and as many moments to share.

After passing Briançon and Citadelle Vauban, it was necessary to cross the Col d’Izoard, the Col d’Allos, the Col de Vars and the Col de la Cayolle. The competitors then went through snow-covered peaks frequented by marmots “waking up” from a harsh winter.

It was then necessary to pass to Entrevaux, superb medieval village hanging on the side of mountain before crossing the Col des Félines then the Col de Bleine, which are the courses of famous special stages of the rallies of the south of France and then to join the Var, for a tasting of rosé it could not be more refreshing before the now traditional entry in Saint-Tropez. It was on the port of St-Tropez that the competitors made their entries, in front of Sénéquier before joining the Place des Lices, where the rally was hosted by the Mayor of Saint-Tropez. The competitors then joined the Château de la Messardière before the award ceremony dinner which will be held at the Moulin de Ramatuelle which will reward, rightly, the big winners of this 2019 edition.

At the Classics, the MAUREY & FOSSEY crew takes AUSTIN HEALEY to the top of the podium. SCHEURER & RASTODER, in PORSCHE 911, are finally in second place, while the PETITOT & TISSOT-PETITOT crew (MG B V8) completes the podium.

On the prestige side, DEGENEVE & BOURRY confirms their 1st place and wins the 2019 edition at the wheel of the Lexus LFA. The crew BOURRIN & JEANNENEY climbs on the second step of the podium while the husband LHOMME & LHOMME (Porsche 964 carrera) seize the 3rd and complete the top three of the prestige category 2019 Rally Megève St Tropez – La Maison de la Literie.
