Thursday 7th June 2018 – Stage 3: Serre Chevalier – St Tropez
The third and final stage of the Megève-St-Tropez Rally – La Financière de l’Echiquier presented an anthology course borrowing both traces of the Tour de France and the Rally Monte Carlo, with turns and laces by tens.
The competitors had to cross the Col d’Izoard, the Col de Vars and the Col de la Cayolle and its breathtaking panoramas. It is in a steady pace that they joined the Park Mercantour, where participants were free to enjoy a picnic in full nature not far from Entrevaux, sublime medieval village hung on the mountainside.
The crews then crossed the Col de Bleine and its profile very “rally” for to join the Var and a tasting of rosé could not be more refreshing to the Domain Bertaud Belieu at the entrance of Saint-Tropez.
After a triumphal arrival of the Rally, under a few showers, on the Place des Lices the competitors gave way to a party promises to be grandiose on the occasion of the award ceremony dinner organized at the “Twins”, famous restaurant of Saint-Tropez , all in the colors of L’FINANCIERE DE L’ECHIQUIER.
